Our day trip to "The City" ...

was mostly according to plan. Mostly.

We took Streetcar number 952 from the Ferry up Market Street to the Seminar.

As expected we got up to the neighborhood of the Seminar early --- so we wandered around the area for a while.
We saw:
--U.N. Plaza
----Farmers Market
--Asian Art Museum
----"Jurassic Age" by Sui Jianguo
--City Hall
----A statue of Abraham Lincoln by Haig Patigian
--Main Library
----"Double L Eccentric Gyratory" by Carl Djerassi

We returned to the Ferry on Streetcar number 1007.

Just as I had spotted the statue of Abraham Lincoln from a distance earlier in the day, Jignesh spotted a statue of Gandhi in the rear parking lot of the Ferry Building from inside the Sur La Table store. Strange what each one of us recognized.
