The fantastic four ...
(myself, Christine, Janet & Greg) did the 'tourist' thing today.
We boarded the Alameda/Oakland Ferry in Alameda, crossed the estuary to Oakland and then across the bay to the Ferry Building in San Francisco.
We wandered thru the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and then the Ferry Building Marketplace (I liked the Culinaire store the most).
We then walked across the street and thru the "San Francisco Street Artist Program" on Justin Herman Plaza and then the adjacent AT&T FanZone (in town for the MLB All-Star Game).
We then walked over to the San Francisco Municipal Railway Museum and then boarded one of the "F-Line Streetcars" for the trip to Pier 39.
At Pier 39, we wandered amongst the masses of tourists, had lunch at La Salsa (me: steak burrito with black beans, rice and cheese), bought some Alcatraz playing cards at the National Park Store, and then watched the entire "Keith Show" on the "center stage".
Although life held little meaning after being Keithified, we soldiered on and Janet got a stuffed bear at "Animal Country" in a futile attempt to assuage her fear of juggling.
We took the ferry home via Angel Island. Onboard, we played a game of Hearts using our recently acquired Alcatraz cards (see above).
Arriviving back on home ground in Alameda, we made a longer-than-necesary stop at Urban Forest run by Chris's friend Jan Brown.
We then made another longer-than-necesary stop at Albertsons for some groceries.
The end.
Ps - No pictures were harmed today. I was the *only* person in San Francisco without a camera.
