When he should be in New York auditioning for American Idiot on Broadway.

Why???

I'm sure he could learn enough guitar on the plane ... and dancing ... and join the union.

Another random but interesting ...
linky: Maksim Suraev's blog: Hello everybody from the International Space Station!

What’s everyday life on the International Space Station like? Maksim Suraev, who is on a six-month stint at the orbital outpost, has the answer.

Maksim is the first Russian cosmonaut to start a blog from zero-g. His accounts of orbital life and fresh photos from space are published on the website of the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos. RT gives its English-speaking audience the chance to read them too.

Chris and I saw ...
the closing night performance of American Idiot - the musical tonight at the Berkeley Rep.

This was our third time seeing the show. We sat in row D, seats 106 & 107 (those and the other seats we were in previously shown below in red):

The show was very good, although there were no apparent twice baked potatoes amongst the cast.

There was a nice surprise for the audience after the final curtain call - the entire cast was onstage with guitars and played & sang "Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)".

Although members of Green Day and Michael Mayer were in the audience (and seated right behind Chris & I) they did not come onstage.

Chris and I saw ...
the opening night & world premiere performance of "The Iago Syndrome" at CSU East Bay (formerly known as CSU Hayward) this evening.

It is based on the character of Iago (from Othello), the Fort Bragg killings of 2002 and an unbilled twice baked potato.

This play wouldn't have been the same without the random interpretive dances scattered throughout to help the audience ignore the dialog. There is nothing like some interpretive dance to help lighten up a soldier/husband murdering his wife on stage with a baseball bat and a red Victoria's Secret bra.

The twice baked potato clearly stole the show. I've been told that the twice baked potato actually bounces, but I have not seen this miracle for myself. All praise to the inanimate carbon rod twice baked potato!

I was also impressed by the giant sized trapezoidal bed. There was a love scene (with knife) played out on the bed of trapezoidal goodness while the audience was distracted by ... another interpretive dance. This was the best distracting interpretive dance I have ever seen and I really liked how it mirrored the actions on the bed (lying prone) while actually dancing around all crazy like.

On the plus side, parking was free after 6pm.

Let me repeat, parking was free after 6pm.

Go for the free parking, stay for the twice baked potato.

Yet another dubious milestone ...
As of today, I have ridden my bicycle 2,522.03 miles! (with 2500 being the dubious milestone)

Daily average == 18.41 and still climbing
Amount of rain that fell on me and my bicycle on Friday == 0.23 inches (but it felt like a lot more)
