Chris and I took a day trip to ...
Sacramento today with a brief detour to Davis to visit with Janet. We had another forgettable late-breakfast/early-lunch at Crepeville and then wandered thru the Davis Farmers Market. If you like (illegally) mixing dogs with food then this is the place to be!
After our too-brief time with Janet, we met up with family (Mom, Karen & Barry, and Shellie) at the First United Methodist Church in Sacramento and watched Mimi Blais (courtesy of the West Coast Ragtime Society) play some Ragtime Piano.
Mimi started her performance by playing "Pickles and Peppers" by Adaline Shepherd Olson and finished with her signature piece "Dizzy Fingers" by Edward Elzear "Zez" Confrey.
We skipped the dinner invite (Romano's Macaroni Grill in Roseville) and left in a futile attempt to:
1 - get home before it started to rain
2 - get home before it got dark
We got home safely at ~7:15pm.
