Quilt shows are ...

not my favorite pasttime.

But Chris likes quilting, and likes getting out of the house occasionally on weekends, so we went to a quilt show today in Livermore.

More specifically, we went to the annual "Quilting In The Garden" show held outside at the Alden Lane Nursery.

All of the quilts on display were pieced by Margaret Miller.

We also said hello to Alex Anderson who taught a class in hand quilting that Chris attended last week at Cotton Patch in Lafayette.

After we left the show, we went to the In Between Stitches
quilt shop in downtown Livermore.

We then drove back towards home with a stop in Castro Valley for a late lunch at Pyzano's Pizza.
Here's a bio of the co-owner, Tony Gemignani.
After waiting ?ten? minutes for the cashier to finish up with the customer in front of us, and after witnessing the unsanitary conditions in the 'kitchen', we decided to leave and seek nourishment elsewhere.

On the way to lunch we stopped at yet another quilt shop: ColorPatch.

And then, finally, after many hours of quilting 'fun', we had lunch at Chipotle and then went home.

And, of course, back to work!
