Chris and I attempted to ...

see Sex and the City: The Movie at the new theater in town: the Alameda Theatre.

We parked in the nearby new parking garage.
We arrived about thirty minutes early for the movie.
It took the sole ticket clerk about ten minutes to serve the three people in line ahead of us.
Chris got a small box of Junior Mints for $2.50 (only an extra $1.50 mark up over your typical grocery or drugstore price).
The movie started about ten minutes late.
We watched about an hour of the movie with several sections without sound, or video, or messed up video, or way too dark video before the management finally came in and started ushering everyone out.

We were given the option of:
* moving to another theater (and watching the first hour of the movie again)
* a refund
* a pass

We accepted the passes. There was no offer of reimbursing us for parking.

We went to dinner at La PiƱata #3.

The end.

Ps - Prior to this, the last movie that Chris and I (and Dick and Sally) saw in a theater was No Country for Old Men on Chrismas Eve 2007.
