the San Francisco premiere of the musical "tick, tick ... BOOM!" at the Eureka Theater.
Pros:
The title of the play has both ellipsis and an exclamation mark.
We saw it for free thanks to comps arranged by ___ _____.
The three piece band was on stage, and the drummer, Alexander Szotak, was very good.
Cons:
The star of the play, Scott Gessford, can't sing - at least not in tune.
Sadly, there were no twice baked potatoes in the cast.
The amazingly minimalist set was boring.
The light reflecting off of the disco ball was annoying.
