Wow. What an ugly bird. I don't know anything about birds, but I've heard they tear their own feathers out when sick or depressed... however, I don't know how a bird would go about tearing off its own head feathers. Weird.

That bird is obviously at least 85 years old - undoubtedly a record for any bird. It would be fun to know more of its heritage.
